I hadn’t noticed at first that someone had walked into the room. The person was reading paperwork within a folder while also carrying a notebook. I noted he was extremely tall and had dark blue…
Wait a second... He has blue hair? And purple eyes?
Eyeing him curiously, I observed his strangely colored eyes. I pondered if he was wearing contacts or if it was natural. It appeared they were real. As I was studying him, he took a seat across from me.
“I'm Morey Byrant. I'll be the one to question you on what happened today. If at any time you feel uncomfortable or need to take a break, feel free to let me know.”
The gentleman opened the notebook before pulling out a pen from his pocket only to scribble something onto the paper. I could only imagine he was making note of my odd behavior. After all, I was pretty emotionless about what had happened.
Morey “Firstly, I’m sorry for your loss.”
Jennie “It's nothing new for me. I’ve been through this a number of times by now.”
Morey “That’s is true. A good portion of your family have died or disappeared over the years.”
I had nothing to hide since I wasn’t the one who murdered my parents. Taking a deep breath, I questioned mentally where I wanted to start. It would be pointless to go through the whole day, so I chose to go with when I found my mother.
